Marko ŠĆEPOVIĆ signs for Videoton Football Club

The 25 year old Serbian has played for his country five times and most recently played in Belgium.

Olympiacos FC and Videoton FC have agreed on Tuesday on the transfer of Marko ŠĆEPOVIĆ to the Szekesfehervar club. The player signed a contract until the 30th June 2019.

Marko was born in Belgrade on the 23rd May 1991. He had a short spell as a child with Spanish side CP Merida, where his father had earlier played. He signed his first professional contract at the age of 19 in 2010 with Partizan Belgrade. He scored one of his sides goals in the 2-0 derby win over Crvena Zvezda a year later and was named man of the match.

ŠĆEPOVIĆ went on to play 45 times in the league for the Belgrade club, scoring 16 goals and helping his club to three title wins in three years. He moved to Greece in 2013 and signed for Olympiacos FC. He scored 7 times in 21 competitive games for the Greek club. His first hatrick in Olympiacos colours came against OFI Crete as he helped them to a league title that season.

Marko moved to Spanish second division side RCS Mallorca in the summer of 2014 on a loan deal. He scored 6 goals in 15 league matches for them, before moving to Tyerek Grozni. The 25 year old forward played for Belgium club Royal Mouscron last season on a loan deal, which saw him score 6 goals in 24 league matches. Marko ŠĆEPOVIĆ made his debut for the Serbian national side against Belgium at the age of 21. He went on to add a further 4 caps to his name.

"I am familiar with the club as I had seen many videos of them over the last month. I also read a lot about the club. I know that there have been several Serbian players that have played for them over the years, so I managed to get the information about them. I also played against them for Partizan in a friendly match some time ago. I hope that I can score many goals and help the team to win the league" - commented Marko ŠĆEPOVIĆ to vidi.hu
