Csaba Spandler returns to Vidi!

Our homegrown player, who signed his first professional contract in Vidi, will play again in the red-blue from the next season!

Csaba Spandler was born on the 7th March 1996 in Mór. At a very young age, Kincsesbánya was his first team, but half a year later he moved to Vidi's youth team, where he performed outstandingly year after year, and signed his first professional contract with our club in 2012. Since then, with the exception of a brief spell in Csákvár, he has been with PAFC, where he has played in 142 first division matches. Last season he wore the captain's armband due to an injury to Roland Szolnoki. The many-time capped youth national team defender's excellent performances have earned him several invitations from the national manager of the Hungarian team, Marco Rossi, over the past two seasons.

"Vidi has always been close to my heart, I grew up here from the age of 6 to 14. Back then I used to dress in the old stadium, I've only been to the new one as a visitor, but it's really nice, it's definitely going to be a pleasure to play here as a Vidi player. There are a few people who worked here before and are still employees of the club, so I'm not coming to a strange place. We've met a few of the players from the team several times a year in the league, we know Fiola and Schön from the national team, but there were matches where I had a chat with Kodro, for example, so I'm sure the guys in the dressing room won't be unfamiliar. You could say I'm back home. I want to spend as many minutes as possible on the pitch and help the team to finish in the top four or five of the league. We will fight as a real team in every match, we want to serve our fans and hopefully the results will come. The fans can expect an uncompromising and tough game from me, I will always be giving my voice to the team", said Csaba Spandler.

"It is no coincidence that Csaba Spandler made it to the national team, his good performances had already caught our attention. The Mór-born defender was brought up here, knows and loves the club, the city and the region mean a lot to him, so he fits the profile we are looking for, both professionally and personally. I'm sure he will be a great asset to our defence in the coming years!" said Roland Juhász, our sporting director.

Csaba Spandler will wear the number 4 shirt and his contract with PAFC will expire at the end of this season.
