Our head coach, Gábor Boér, gave his assessment of our last friendly match against Monor SE, which we won 3-0.
“Although this was our last friendly match before the start of the new season, we treated this encounter in the same way as the others, trying to gain new information about the players and the team. Twenty-four players got a chance to play today, and the team is still far from ready, but there were some very encouraging signs in the first half, and we managed to finish our moves with goals. I saw a lot of encouraging things in the second half as well. We created a lot of chances, including a missed penalty, but the players worked hard on the pitch. We mustn't fall asleep in matches, even if the opponent isn't dictating the pace. Monor also tried to slow the game down, and it was difficult to play against them. We won a lot of balls in the final third, which we turned into chances. Our finishing still needs some fine-tuning, but we are constantly working on that. We would like to thank our fans for their support. I am confident that there will be a large crowd at the stadium for our first league match against Honvéd, which will be a great boost for the team," said head coach Gábor Boér to our website after the 3-0 friendly win against Monor SE.
