GÁBOR BOÉR

"Our target is to improve in all aspects compared to Monday's match."

Our team's away match against FC Ajka kicks off at 7 p.m. on Sunday. Below are the thoughts of our head coach as he looks ahead to the game.

"Our main goal is to improve in every respect compared to Monday's match; I expect a different game and scenario. Our opponents also did not start the season well, and we have naturally prepared for them, but we must mainly focus on ourselves and continue to build the team. Ajka has been in the NB II league for a long time, but their squad underwent changes in the summer, with several players leaving, mainly in attacking positions. However, they signed Krisztián Kirchner, the top scorer of the last two second division seasons, so I think they have managed to replace the departing players with quality. They will certainly take to the pitch with an attacking spirit at home, but in the second division, basically every team is dangerous both at home and away. This week, we tried to strengthen the players mentally and correct the mistakes they made, mainly the many turnovers, as Honvéd consistently created opportunities from these, which we definitely need to improve and will improve. I am glad that all the away tickets have been sold out, our fan base continues to perform at NB I level, and we must also embark on this path" head coach Gábor Boér told our website ahead of the league match against FC Ajka.
