Our young side came away empty handed in Monday's league match away at KTE.

We played the final match of the fourth round of the Merkantil Bank Liga NB II at Kecskemét on Monday evening. Head coach Gábor Boér made several changes to the team. The home team started the match better, with Eördögh's 11-meter shot blocked by Vajda in the 3rd minute, followed by Banó-Szabó's shot over the goal from 19 meters. In the 9th minute, Merényi was allowed to move towards the box after a pass from Bolgár, but the Kecskemét player failed to connect with the ball. In the 18th minute, Kojnok's shot from 18 meters out posed no problem for the home goalkeeper.

In the 26th minute, we saw the biggest chance of the match so far: Pálinkás teased Banó-Szabó with a good ball, who chose to pass instead of shooting in a goal-scoring position, and Vajda did well to throw himself in front of Merényi's 6-meter shot making a huge block.

The home team's dominance paid off after half an hour of play when Barnabás Kovács shot from 10 meters into our goal after Banó-Szabó curled the ball into the box. Vajda tried to block again, but our defender could only connect with the ball and failed to save it (1-0). Five minutes later, Pálinkás shot at goal from 17 meters after a feint, but Svékus confidently saved the weak shot.

Two minutes later, Kecskemét doubled their lead when Eördögh scored from 12 meters after a cheeky move (2-0). The teams went into halftime with the home side leading by two goals.

During the break, Gábor Boér made three substitutions, replacing Bobál, Simut and Kocsis with Kálnoki-Kis, Bedi and Bence Kovács. The latter needed only 14 minutes to score our team's consolation goal. After a good throw-in, Kocsis headed the ball down, Varga shot at goal, but the shot was blocked, and Bence Kovács' stike at goal again from 13 meters, the ball bounced off a home defender and finally ended up in the net (2-1).

Vidi were back in the game for ten minutes, because in the 69th minute, Banó-Szabó dribbled past Svékus and then shot at the goal from close range with great force, leaving Spandler no chance to save the ball on the goal line (3-1).

In the 84th minute, substitute Czékus found himself in a good position, but the home team's striker shot over the bar from six meters out, so the final score remained unchanged, and we suffered a 3-1 defeat in Kecskemét.

Our team will host Békéscsaba at the Sóstói Stadium on Sunday at 7 p.m. in the fifth round of the Merkantil Bank Liga.
