Head coach Tamás Pető can count on Bálint Rideg as a striker in front of goal.
In the final stages of the transfer window, we strengthened our squad with a young striker: Bálint Rideg, born on 7th November 2004, joins Videoton on a six-month loan from Paksi FC.
The 21-year-old player honed his skills in the youth teams of Ferencváros between 2015 and 2019 and Újpest between 2019 and 2023, before spending two years playing for Vasas. In the summer of 2025, he signed with Paks, from where he played on loan at Ajka for the past six months, appearing in seven league games and one cup match.
He has been playing in the first team since the age of 18, appearing for Újpest and then Vasas in NB III. In the 2024/2025 season, he scored 17 goals in NB III, finishing second in the scoring charts. He was also called up to the U19 national team, where he scored the winning goal away against Estonia in 2023.

“I accepted Videoton's offer without hesitation; I couldn't have asked for a better opportunity. As a striker, my aim is to score as many goals as possible to help the team achieve the best results. My strengths are my heading ability inside the box and my ability to get on the end of crosses. There are three players in the squad with whom I have already played, and I have a good relationship with them, but I am sure that we will easily find common ground with the others and that I will quickly settle in," said Bálint Rideg, who will wear the number 20 shirt at Videoton, to our website.
"We had to react quickly to Dániel Bartusz's unfortunate injury, as the transfer window closes on February 14. In the last weeks of last year, we compiled a long list of players who might be of interest to us, and Bálint Rideg was on that list, which is why we were able to make a quick decision. Bálint is a completely different type of striker than the other forwards in our squad. He is strong and tall, posing a serious threat to the opponent's goal within the 16-yard box, and one of his greatest strengths is his heading ability. With Bálint's arrival, the transfer period is over for us, and our final spring squad is now complete," said sporting director Nikolics Nemanja.
Good luck in red and blue, Bálint!
