"I think Videoton should play like this both at home and away, just as we did today"

Tamás Pető and Attila Varga assessed the match, which ended in a 2-0 victory for Videoton.

Tamás Pető:

"I think we really deserved to win. We played very well, we controlled the game throughout, and we could have scored even more goals. Our goalkeeper made a couple of brilliant saves, but looking at the match as a whole, I think Videoton should play like this both at home and away, just as we did today. Congratulations to my team, it was great teamwork and great individual performances. We'll keep going and do our job."

Attila Varga:

"We came here knowing where we were going and what the differences in quality was between the two teams, but I prepared the team to try to get points. I think that was evident in the team. After a nervous first 10 minutes, the game was more even. Obviously, Videoton had more chances in the first half, but none of them required our goalkeeper to make a save. Still, Vidi took the lead from a set piece, which I think is unacceptable at this level, to head in so cleanly from a simple set piece. The second half was all about a different approach from Karcag, we played much more football and had enough chances to get back into the game. Speaking of quality, in the second half, when Videoton entered the box for the second time, they scored their second goal. That's quality, and the match could have been decided there, but it wasn't, because we had a shot that hit the crossbar and a clear chance that was saved by the Videoton goalkeeper. So, I'll say it again, we had enough chances to get back into the game and even take a point, but we didn't manage to do that today. Regardless, I think the difference in quality between the two clubs and teams decided the game in Videoton's favor. I would like to congratulate Videoton on their performance over the past five weeks, and today, I would like to congratulate both Videoton and my own team, even though it sounds strange after a 2-0 defeat.
