Gyirmót and Nagykanizsa will join the NB II league as promoted teams, following their promotion, while DVTK and Kazincbarcika will join as relegated teams from division one.

The promotion playoffs for a spot in NB II concluded on Sunday with the second-leg matches, finalizing the league for the 2026/2027 second-division season.

After a 2-2 draw at home, Gyirmót won 3-1 in Monor, while Nagykanizsa, following a 2-2 draw at home, finished 0-0 in normal time in Cigánd but scored two goals in extra time to ultimately win 2-0. Thus, Gyirmót and Nagykanizsa will replace the relegated Budafok and Békéscsaba in NB II. Replacing the promoted Vasas and Honvéd will be the two teams relegated from NB I, Diósgyőr and Kazincbarcika.
