In the 9th round of the OTP Bank Liga NB I, MTK visited the Sóstói Stadion. Vidi kicked off with the following side: Tóth B. - Csongvai, Serafimov, Fiola - Bese, Flores, Kalmár, Katona, Gergényi - Kodro, Szabó L. Karamoko was not available today due to a slight muscle injury, he is expected to join the team training after 1-2 weeks of rehabilitation. Before the kick-off, our managing Director Attila Balogh thanked Dr. Tibor Kovács, who is leaving our club after 20 years, for his work on the sidelines.

MTK started the game with a chance, in the 2nd minute Bognár shot 15 meters wide of the goal, while on the other end, Kalmár's free kick was saved by Demjén. In the 10th minute, former Vidi player Zsóri received a good ball from Bognár, who also managed to fake the ball, but from 13 yards out he hit the ball wide. In the 19th minute we had a man advantage, Kádár kicked out very badly at Kodró, it was a clear red card, which was shown without hesitation by referee Bogár.

In the 23rd minute Levente Szabó shot from 18, which visiting keeper Demjén saved really well from long range. In the 31st minute, Zsóri drove the ball towards our goal alone, but Tóth saved his shot with great stop. In the 43rd minute, we had a double man advantage, Thiam again made a dangerous tackle as he fouled Kalmar, to get his second yellow card and see red. In the first half's injury time we converted our man advantage into a goal, after Kalmár's cross, Katona scored a great goal from 15 meters with a left foot into the far top corner (1-0)! It really was an unstoppable shot.

After the break the momentum didn't let up either, in the 54th minute the scoreboard of the Sóstói Stadion read 2-0, as Fiola's cross was not cleared by the visitors, the ball fell to Kalmár, who shot from 16 to the bottom right corner.

In the 57th minute, we missed a huge opportunity, Katona hit a good effort from distance, the rebound went to Szabó, who shot from inside the penalty area, but Demjén saved really well. A quarter of an hour later, Kalmár's cross was too sharp and the ball bounced off the top bar, but in the 87th minute, our national team midfielder scored his second goal, the third for his team, after Christensen's centre had been headed back into the middle (3-0)! All in all, we were able to beat the blue and whites from the capital with three goals at home, playing with a man advantage and with a confident performance.

After the national team break, our team will play away against DVSC in the next round on the 22nd October.
