The 21-year-old midfielder, Bálint Geiger, arrives to Fehérvár on loan from Újpest.
We have further strengthened our midfield with the arrival of Újpest FC player Bálint Geiger, who has joined our team on a six-month loan.
Bálint Geiger was born on March 26, 2004, in Baja. He started playing football for Kiskőrös in 2009, then transferred to Kecskemét in 2013 and Dunaújváros in 2015. In 2016, he trained with Vidi's youth team for a few weeks, before signing with the Puskás Academy, where he played for the U14 and U15 teams. In 2019, he signed with Újpest FC, where he made his debut in the NB III team in the 2021/2022 season and in the NB I in the 2023/2024 season.

This is his third season in the top division, with 6 assists in 34 league games and 1 goal and 1 assist in 5 games in the MOL Hungarian Cup. He has played three times for the Hungarian U21 national team.
"We are very pleased to have signed Bálint Geiger, a young, ambitious, and highly motivated player on loan from Újpest, who has further strengthened our squad and increased head coach Tamás Pető's options. We have been in close contact with the player and his agent since December. Together with Tamás Pető, we have great faith in young footballers and agreed that if we had the opportunity, we would sign Bálint on loan. Although he is only 21 years old, he has already played more than 30 times in the NB I and has also played for the U21 national team. He is a smart midfielder with a very good left foot. There will be serious competition for places in the team, and I am sure that our team will benefit from this in the spring. Last but not least, I would like to thank Újpest, Balázs Benczédi, and Pál Dárdai for their help. We hope and trust that both clubs, and of course Bálint, will benefit from this loan agreement," said sporting director Nikolics Nemanja.
