Our team led in the first half thanks to a goal by Bálint Rideg, but the home team equalized through a penalty kick in the second half and then scored the winning goal in stoppage time.
Our team traveled to Szentlőrinc for the penultimate round of the 2025/2026 Merkantil Bank Liga NB II season. Head coach Tamás Pető named the following starting lineup: Kemenes – Hesz, Spandler, Zsótér – Kovács K., Kocsis G., Geiger, Somogyi, Bedi – Berekméri-Szigeti, Rideg.

In the 8th minute, Zsótér’s free kick created the first dangerous opportunity, but his shot from 20 meters sailed over the crossbar. In response, in the 9th minute, our defenders blocked attempts by Tollár and then Nyári following a set piece. In the 17th minute, Spandler’s cross from the left narrowly missed the top left corner; in the 32nd, following a corner kick from the left by Bedi, Hesz’s header was deflected off a home defender for another corner. In the 34th minute, at the end of a counterattack, Kemenes punched Mascoe’s shot away for a corner at the bottom right. In the 37th minute, we took the lead: at the end of our attack down the right, the home team couldn’t clear the ball, and Rideg fired the loose ball into the net from a few meters out with great power, scoring his first league goal in a Vidi shirt (0-1)! There were no further chances before the end of the first half, and we went into halftime with the lead.
In the 55th minute, Kemenes easily caught Samson’s shot toward the center, while at the other end, Auerbach stopped Somogyi’s attempt. In the 61st minute, Czérna’s shot deflected off Kocsison and went over the crossbar. Rideg was replaced by Bartusz, and in the 64th minute, the referee called a foul on Spandler inside the box; Szolgai converted the penalty kick into the bottom left corner (1-1). Our team will wrap up the season next Sunday at 5 p.m. with a home game against Budafok.
In the 67th minute, Szolgai tried again, but Kemenes punched the ball away. Virágh and Bertók entered the game, then a cross from the left whizzed past the goal line, and Virágh’s shot narrowly missed the bottom left corner. Our final substitution was Menyhárt in the 80th minute; three minutes later, Tollár’s shot was deflected for a corner. One minute into the four minutes of stoppage time, Huszár fired a set-up into the top right corner (2-1), sealing the victory for Szentlőrinc.
